First Playable Draft of Bun-Fu Too!


The first proper playable version of Bun-Fu Too is now live.

Up until now, the project’s mainly been movement prototyping and testing systems in isolation, but this build finally ties things together into an actual sort of cohesive level flow.

Core mechanics are in: platforming, restart logic, internal speedrun timing, two enemies, two obstacles, and general tuning. It’s still early, not a lot of proper content as of yet, and definitely no menu or UI polish, but the foundation is solid enough to show, and the game is quite fun to play if I may say so myself.

For anyone testing:

  •  --->    toggle speedrun timer

  •  --->    god mode

  •  --->    quick soft restart

  •  --->    full scene reload / hard reset

  • M  --->    mute all sound

These are intentionally left enabled for feedback and iteration.

Main goal from here is tightening movement, adding polish, and starting to playtest and iterate on the actual level design until it feels really good, and fun to play.

If you try it, I’d appreciate any and all blunt impressions on feel, flow, or even just “[insert feature here]. is so shit pls fix” That’s what this build is for.
